From Rejection To $1.5 Million in Cold Outbound
how I did it with cold calling
Saturday and Charlotte’s Sales Shares #21 is out!
Hello to almost 1.6k people since the last edition who have decided to keep it real, authentic and actionable.
This one is a 1 minute 30 seconds read on that next question to ask on a cold call when you have done your opener and the prospect/buyer wants to continue the call.
You must focus on a specific challenge or priority your prospect/buyer has.
Pick out of these questions which one you prefer. Goes like this:
Charlotte, I came across your name from (peers in your industry or company event) and thought of you as VP of Sales (relevant priority or business challenge) might be top of mind and relevant to what we do at (your company or business). But I'll pause there and ask if you ever heard of (your company or business name?)
Suppose you get a NO reply, give your 30 second high level elevator pitch.
Or you could ask this instead:
According to (industry related news on pain), 89% of deals are lost due to no decision - curious, what % of your leads in your sales team’s pipe convert to actual deals?
Pause and wait for the answer….then ask to pitch, give a customer story on you solved a problem for a competitor. More on this soon.
