Prospect inactive on LinkedIn?
Strategies to get a reply
Saturday and Charlotte’s Sales Shares #15 is out!
Hello to 1051 people who have decided to keep it real, authentic and actionable.
Today’s 1 minute 30 second read is how to reach your prospect or buyer when they aren’t active on LinkedIn. I know, it’s frustrating since everyone is somewhere on social media but a lot of Execs don’t post. LinkedIn is only used daily by 3 million out of almost 900 million users.
BUT 500 million are logging in and checking it out. They see your posts and DMs.
If you see their LinkedIn looking like a graveyard with no recent posts or posts at all, it’s still worth sending a DM.
Some don’t check their LinkedIn for a week or more so your message needs to be cut above the noise of all the boring, robotic sounding LinkedIn messages.
Here is one message you can
“Hi Charlotte
I was hanging on LinkedIn and bumped into your profile. Made sense to contact you.
I am running a personal search. Would it be crazy to ask, what is the most overlooked hurdle or obstacle for a marketing director in the office space industry?”
OR you can try with this one
"Hi Charlotte
I saw that you have X years of experience with the office space [industry].
Would it be inappropriate for me to ask you for feedback on a report I have just created? Given your experience, it would be very valuable for me."
These are low friction asks and are genuinely interesting. No sale-sy type behaviour here.
Remember: if your prospect/buyer is really not on LinkedIn, there are 4 to 5 other social media channels plus Google where you can find them. Go where they are most active.
See you next week!
