You're in for a 1 minute read on ONE thing I do to disqualify the wrong prospects.
Working over 10 years with governments as clients, I used to get a lot of prospects “just or always looking or always evaluating new opportunities”.
I used to fall into the trap of thinking I could convert them into paying customers. How wrong I was.
They may become a buyer further down the line, but 9 times out of 10, they are not looking to make any change and buy your solution or services.
So whenever I have a prospect tell me this, I say to them:
“I appreciate you are just looking, hope you don’t mind me saying this, typically when prospects tell me they are just looking, they’re usually happy with how they’re doing things now and don’t want to make a change…would it be fair to say this is true for you too?”
Call out the fact they are probably good with what they have.
