Mastering video outreach

without feeling like a freak

Sales Shares #35 is out!

Hello to +2,500 sellers and creative entrepreneurs who have decided to keep it real, authentic and actionable.

Today’s non snoozeletter is a 2 minute read on video prospecting.

Sending a video is never a bad idea…but you may want to ask permission before sending it first.

Now you might be thinking, but wait, I don’t want to appear like a freak.

You don’t have to..here is how you can approach it.

Share a point of view - something you noticed about the prospect or their business. Offer to give them more insights into what you found out.

Here is how I like to do it:

-Greeting

-Share context for why you’re reaching out,

(share the screen of what you want to showcase)

-My reason for reaching out? I checked out the team~s LinkedIn profiles.

-My point of view? They don’t seem to be using it for prospecting so much.

-Shared some statistics to support my point of view. Quoted the source.

My CTA?

-Happy to share some insights in more detail.

Again, not sharing a calendly link or asking outright for the meeting.

Take a look!

I like to send a video after a few attempts to engage the prospect, so further into my cold outreach cadence.

Video as a first touch might be overwhelming, one way to get around that is to ask your prospect if you can send it.

“Mind me sharing a video on some insights I found which you may find useful?”

I get around a 40% response rate from video.
